Yesterday I bought a new camera, a point-and-shoot that I can shove in my pocket. Such a tiny thing with 12 mega pixels and a zoom. Yes, I have a good SLR, but I know it will be a problem schlepping around India with the SLR dangling round
my neck, just as surely as I know that Hank won't carry it for
me--it's heavy and he's not my brother!
That's my excuse for not posting to the blog yesterday--I had to charge the camera. This morning, before it got too hot, I gallivanted around the yard putting it through its paces:
We have a bumper crop of pomegranates this year, but many will be full of holes before we return. Some creature with a sharp beak and can suspend itself from a height is the culprit.

If this is any example of your work with the new pocketable camera, it will be a great series. Lovely composition! And it appears to be tack sharp, as far as I can tell.

Yes, this is the new camera! I'm amazed! It's such a light, tiny thing, and other than cropping, I honestly didn't resort to any Photoshop tricks. I pointed and shot, so to speak. Thank you for your kind words, Alice.
